Designing Remediation Protocols

We offer guidance in creating a remediation plan that lays out the scope of work and the proper protocols to follow in order to comply with all government and industry standards. We design detailed, custom remediation protocols for your specific situation which will help in obtaining bids from contractors. Although most remediation contractors will create a similar plan for you, potential conflicts of interest may arise. Thus, our report provides a standard for evaluating the quality and completeness of the work performed by your contractor.

Inspection for Homes Under Construction

Homes under construction are at risk due to exposure to outdoor elements. For example, the wood framing can absorb water, and is therefore a hotspot for mold growth. In some situations, insulation and sheetrock installed without regard to the moisture present can also cause mold to grow.

Moisture Detection

Mold spores require water to grow. Because mold often grows in places that cannot be seen, a major portion of assessing problems is inspecting existing or potential water issues. We utilize instruments such as moisture meters, infrared cameras, and hygrometers to detect the home's moisture.

Indoor mold growth can and should be prevented and controlled by minimizing areas of moisture. If you have a mold condition, not only should the mold be cleaned and removed, the water problem needs to be corrected. If you remove the mold without eliminating the water problem, it is almost certain the mold will return and begin to grow again.
